MY BACKGROUND
An Engineer by profession, I have 30+ years’ experience in roles ranging from operations maintenance, asset management and project management. Through a mix of drive, experience and skills I have developed a portfolio of achievements throughout my career:
- delivering flagship local, national and international project management and engineer projects
- becoming a highly sought-after mentor, board member, strategic advisor and growth strategist.
I am an Advisory Board member for several companies and ex-CEO of CPM Consolidated Group, a diverse range of companies including Advisory Services, Project Management & Engineering Consultancy, Civil Construction, Property Development & Management, Hospitality and Logistics.
After leading CPM’s key projects in South East Queensland including Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, MBRC Moreton Bay Rail & Port of Brisbane Port Drive Upgrade and delivering other strategically significant projects for clients in the private and public sectors, I was appointed to the role of CPM Consolidated Group CEO in January 2018.
As CEO I led the growth of the CPM Group of companies from 5 to 100 people, increasing turnover 10 fold since 2011, and developed organisational structure and governance to support the growing operations.
MY APPROACH
As an Advisory Board Member for a number of entities, my role is to ensure good governance and to guide both strategy and execution.
I work with the Directors and other Advisory Board Members to provide strategic advice, assist the Executive Management Team in the delivery of outstanding service, maintaining ongoing success and achieving the growth and diversity targets of the business.
As a mentor for smaller businesses, I work with the business owners/leaders to identify opportunities, develop strategy and mentor the leaders and/or team through implementation.
My strength lies in ‘unlocking potential and value’ within a business and its people through good governance, a balanced approach to risk, leadership and support. I have an unerring approach to excellence and a passion for all I do.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
I am a Graduate (GAICD) of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an EngExec & Fellow (TFIEAust) of Engineers Australia.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management (University of Bristol), and a HNC in Engineering (University of Hull).
